I like It When You’re Soft

A series of blades: The Dagger, the knife, The star

The shapes of the pieces repeat the motifs of traditional Kazakh ornaments that are used for embroidery, patchwork and other forms of traditional applied arts predominantly practiced by women. This artwork is a materialization of long-suppressed anger: soft, feminine shapes carved into imaginary cold weapons.
